Welcome to December!

The sudden change in temperature was a bit of a shock, wasn’t it? Though I’m sure we say it every year, when temperatures plummet and the days are so much shorter!

Once again, we’ve a busy year at Cardgains, with much of the work taking place ‘behind the scenes’ as we build our new bespoke accounting system for processing statements, improving efficiencies and futureproofing the company.

The new system will ‘go live’ in January and members will see the new style statement in February.

We have also upped our presence at shows and events throughout the year and spent many months designing, building and upgrading our website. We are rebranding Cardgains next year and we’re excited to unveil the new style and logo in January’s newsletter and launch the website.

Christmas

I know everyone in our industry starts thinking about Christmas in January with early pre-orders, then deliveries from August! I understand from members that the Christmas sales start building in November and really kick in from December. I hear from some members that sales are buoyant so far and increased year on year, so I hope that continues and we all finish the year positively.

I’m sure everyone will be looking forward to a break over Christmas and New Year. I know many of you will be back in the shops during the Christmas break, planning for next year and the early Spring Seasons.

The Cardgains office will be open in the morning of Christmas Eve, then close for Christmas and new year. We will reopen on Monday 5th January.

All that remains for me to say, is to wish all readers a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
